“Moving to a gorgeous new place in NDG, we’re having a big party on St.-Jean and the Burners are invited! It’s a BBQ Potluck, so please bring a little something to contribute — something for the grill, or a side dish, or a dessert, or a bottle of quelquechose. We will provide snacks, and random BBQ goodness.’

“Party begins at 4pm and continues indefinitely. Partners and children are more than welcome!

Il est déjà le temps de sortir de l’hibernation! Les Montréalais sont déjà en train d’exhiber une peu leur peau, et de penser à brûler des trucs!

Alors c’est aussi le moment de faire encore une rencontre Potluck. Cette fois-ci, chez Dr Distracto.

Vous savez déjà comment ça fonctionne! Vous apportez des boissons ou de la nourriture pour partager, un plat, un dessert, ce que vous préférez.

Et si vous aller au Burning Man pour la première fois, c’est un très bon endroit pour poser n’importe quelles questions que vous pouvez avoir! Nous sommes pleins de réponses.

NB: Ce sera également une réunion de planification important pour le <>. Nous avons beaucoup à discuter.

Time to come out of hibernation! Montrealers are starting to show some skin and are thinking about Burning stuff!

It’s also time for a potluck, hosted this month by Dr Distracto.

You know how it works: bring food and/or drink to share — a dish, a desert, whatever you like.

And if you’re going to Burning Man for the first time, this is a great place to ask any Burning questions you might have. We’re just full of answers.

NB: This will also be an important planning meeting for the Montreal CORE Project Leads. We need *ALL Hands On Deck*. We have a lot to discuss.

The days are getting longer, the mercury is creeping up slowly — it must mean we’ve reached the BURNAL EQUINOX, the halfway point between Rites of Passage and Fertility 2.0. It’s also potluck time again!

When: Tuesday, March 13, 2012, 7:30pm until 10:30pm
Where: Chez Brawny, 5410 Hutchison, Montreal, QC, H2V 4B3

This month our gracious host is Brawny.

Bring one of our favourite dishes to share, along with your stories, ideas and questions about the upcoming Burn, about our CORE Project plans to bring a big sculpture to BRC be burned, theme camp projects, or anything else you’d like to share with the community.

Just back from the playa and hungry to share all the stories? Looking to warm your soul by that Burnery fire yet again? Here’s your chance:

Our Brûleurs Potluck for September is another fabulous BBQ in Simon and Fred’s Ruelle — a.k.a. “Burner Alley”! — behind Hotel de Ville and Laval, between Napoleon and Roi.

Entrance via Hotel de Ville or Napoleon.

Official start-time is 5pm, but feel free to come a couple hours early if you want to help Simon decorate the Alley. You can pARTicipate in his Special Secret Project, or bring some art of your own (but be sure to pack it out again and Leave No Trace!).

What to bring: grillables (meat and/or veggies); drinkables; musical instruments; circus toys. Just bring whatever inspires you.

And hey, be prepared for cool weather: these northern nights get chilly fast in September — kinda like the playa.

Its starting to get playa hot in Montreal, but damn its a lot more humid than the playa ever is! Perfect time for a BBQ! Yes this month’s Bruleurs get together is a BBQ hosted by Dr. Distracto & Fred.We’ll be gathering in the ruelle behind Hotel de Ville and Laval and between Napoleon and Roi (I’m sure there’s a joke in there somewhere). Bring your meat and/or your veggies, bring an instrument or your circus toys. The guys are also trying to artify the ruelle a little bit so there’ll be some art supplies to play with and flowers to plant. If you have things of your own to add bring ’em along!============FRANCAIS==============
Should read 3pm-6am…
We’ll start with some creative artification, get the BBQ fired up around 6’ish, and see where the night takes us…
Should be a good time to get your playa plans together and start (if u haven’t already) setting up camp.

February is almost upon us and that means its almost time for another Bruleurs gathering. Given how well the potluck went the last time around let’s get cookin’ and do the same thing again. Big thanks to Dr. Sinful (aka: Maria) for offering to host this month!

ON THE TABLE

  • Yummy food and drinks! Bring something spectacular from your kitchen (or the dep).
  • Nuit Blanche – anyone working on any interesting Nuit Blanche projects? Anyone want to form a roving band of art hungry partiers the night of Nuit Blanche?
  • Burnal Equinox – anyone want to have a party to mark the halfway point between burns? Burnal Equinox this year is March 5th.
  • Plus all the usual socializing, scheming, answering virgins questions, spankings and other fun stuff.

ALSO

The Burning Man Regional Network Summit is taking place in San Francisco in early April. The summit is an opportunity for representatives from Burning Man communities all over the world to get together and discuss issues, share ideas and work with the BMOrg.

If you’d like to contribute ideas, ask questions or express anything really to BMHQ or other Burners around the world I’ll be collecting letters, post cards and anything else you care to give me at the next two get togethers and will bring them with me to the summit.

Le sommet du réseau régional Burning Man se déroule à San Francisco au début d’avril. Le sommet est une occasion pour les représentants des communautés Burning Man du monde entier pour se réunir et discuter des sujets divers, partager des idées et travailler avec les BMOrg.

Si vous souhaitez vraiment apporter des idées, poser des questions ou exprimer quelque chose au BMHQ ou aux autres brûleurs à travers le monde, je ferai une collecte de lettres, cartes postales et tout autre chose que vous voudriez bien me donner pendant les deux prochaines rassemblements, et je les apporterai avec moi au sommet.
