Attention! Préparez-vous: taBURNak! V, la Décompression Burning Man officielle de Montréal, arrive!
Le 15 mars, c’est à l’Espace Réunion (6600 rue Hutchison) que ça se passe! Marquez vos calendriers!
taBURNak!: une célébration communautaire à vivre et à revivre… ou à découvrir pour la première fois. Une bouffée de chaleur de Burning Man avec une touche toute montréalaise. Un événement pour les Brûleurs, par les Brûleurs. Un événement dont VOUS serez les artistes, DJ, barmen et barmaids, agents de sécurité, musiciens et autres collaborateurs.
QUAND:
Le samedi 15 mars de 21h – 6h
– Durant la journée: montage et préparation de l’espace (inscrivez-vous pour y participer)
– 21h: début officiel de la soirée
– 3h: fermeture du bar (mais pas de la fête!)
– 6h fermeture du party
– 11h-17h (16 mars): party de démontage: musique, bagels, bénévoles superstars, et rafraîchissements. (joignez-vous aux bénévoles de démontage, c’est eux les plus hot.)

COMMENT:
Il n’y aurait pas d’événement de Brûleurs si ce n’était de notre PARTICIPATION! Il y a tant de façon de partager vos talents et votre passion avec la communauté.
Pas de bénévole, pas de décompression! Voulez-vous divertir et émerveiller les participants? Êtes vous assez SUPER DÉBILE ÉCOEURANTS pour vous porter bénévole et participer à la soirée avec des gens le fun – comme vous! – dans un nombre de rôles non seulement amusants mais ô combien essentiels? À taBURNak, il y a de la place pour vous.

The official Burning Man Decompression of Montreal!
On March 15, Espace Réunion, 6600 rue Hutchison will be your destination. Save the date!
taBURNak! is the community celebration you want to re-live… or the one you wish to discover! An oasis of Burning Man culture with a Montreal twist. An event for Burners, by Burners! One in which the artists, performers, djs, greeters, bartenders, security Vikings/Rangers, and other collaborators will be **YOU**!
WHEN:
Saturday March 15
– 10am – all hands on deck to beautify the place (register to volunteer for that!)
– 9 pm – Official start of the event!
– 3 am – the bar closes. But the party goes on!
– 6 am – official end to the party
– 11am-5pm (March 16) teardown party with beats, bagels, and other refreshments for the volunteer cleanup crew!

PARTICIPATE:
This wouldn’t be a real Burner event without PARTICIPATION! There’s so many ways to get involved and share your passion for the community!
Without volunteers and active participants, Decompressions don’t happen. Are you a world class performer or DJ? Do you want your art installation to inspire, amuse, and amaze participants? Are you AWESOME enough to be part of taBURNak’s life blood and volunteer for any number of important (and fun!) roles? At taBURNak! V, there’s a place for you!

Nous vous offrons :
“Lots of fun”, performances…
Tous les fonds aident les artistes à terminer l’œuvre qui représente la ville de Montréal au festival d’ArT Burning Man 2012 au Nevada !
Célébrons aussi l’été ensemble!
Projet d’ArT : 2 “Man” qui supportent le canot (peint a la main par plusieurs artistes) de la légende de la chasse-galerie.
Zuruba, les célèbres percussionnistes brésiliens, qui font partie intégrante du concept et qui le fera vivre!
Toutes nos contributions servent à payer seulement le prix des matériaux et le transport de la structure vers le désert du Nevada où a lieu Burning Man.
Au menu:
– buffet de salades fraiches et colorées, des légumes au quinoa, le choix ne manquera pas!
– burger de luxe (végé ou non) sur le grill avec accompagnements estivaux et décadents…
Le tout servi par d’adorables chefs 😉 Hugo et son team brûlant ☺
Pour réussir ce BBQ, nous avons besoin de VOUS!!!
Ajoutez du piquant à la soirée en apportant vos instruments de musique, créativité, boisson, joie de vivre, folie, la voisine qui a l’air cute, ton ex pis/ou ton ami…

We invite you to our SUPER BBQ in Jeanne-Mance’s park, on Thursday July 19th, between 5:30 and 11:00 pm.
Let’s celebrate summer and fund a super cool art project: “PORTAGE” — the large sculpture that will represent Montreal at Burning Man 2012. PORTAGE consists of two giant “Man” figures portaging a canoe, hand-painted by several Montreal artists. It’s based on the Quebec legend of the chasse-galérie, the magical flying canoe.
Famous Brazilian percussionists Zuruba will participate –making it come to life LIVE!
Your contributions will help us pay for supplies and the shipping of the structure.
For You:
Performances and loads of FUN!
Live music, percussion from Zuruba, and you and your own instruments joining in!
and of course food!
On the menu:
– Colorful salad buffet, from legumes to quinoa
– Burger deluxe (veggie or not) on the grill with wild summery and delicious sides.
All of the above will be served by our delectable chefs, Hugo and his hot team!

So you want to go to Burning Man. You hear there’s lots of naked people there. You’ve never camped in the desert. You don’t know how much water to bring. You don’t really know what the heck you’re getting yourself into.
Fortunately there are people who’ve been there before who just can’t stop talking about it.
That’s why we’re having our second annual Virgin Night. With documentaries! And Q&A Sessions!
Virgins should come to drink from the great trough of wisdom. Veteran Burners should come and corrupt impressionable minds.
Bring something tasty for the potluck dinner at 6pm; presentations start after 7pm.

Alors, vous voulez aller au Burning Man? Vous avez entendu dire qu’il ya beaucoup de gens à poil, là-bas. Vous n`avez jamais fait du camping dans le désert. Vous ne savez pas combien d’eau il faut apporter. Vous ne savez pas tout juste dans quel genre de bordel vous êtes en train de vous y mêler.
Heureusement, il ya des gens qui ont déjà été là-bas, et que l’on ne peut pas arrêter de parler de ça.
Voilà pourquoi on va avoir une soirée pour les Vierges. Avec documentaires! Et period de questions!
Apportez quelque chose de savoureux pour le dîner-partage à 18hr; présentations commencer après 19hr.

Vous savez déjà comment ça fonctionne! Vous apportez des boissons ou de la nourriture pour partager, un plat, un dessert, ce que vous préférez.
Et si vous aller au Burning Man pour la première fois, c’est un très bon endroit pour poser n’importe quelles questions que vous pouvez avoir! Nous sommes pleins de réponses.

Time to come out of hibernation! Montrealers are starting to show some skin and are thinking about Burning stuff!
It’s also time for a potluck, hosted this month by Dr Distracto.
You know how it works: bring food and/or drink to share — a dish, a desert, whatever you like.
And if you’re going to Burning Man for the first time, this is a great place to ask any Burning questions you might have. We’re just full of answers.
NB: This will also be an important planning meeting for the Montreal CORE Project Leads. We need *ALL Hands On Deck*. We have a lot to discuss.
